I am deeply concerned about the welfare of animals, including those given as fairground prizes, or even as prizes given through competitions on social media.
Bolton Council agree with my position and has even voted to end the giving of live animals as prizes. They have even passed a unanimous, cross-party vote to end this practice across Bolton and I applaud their decision.
