Chris Green MP has met a local award winning cider producer at Lancashire Day celebrations in Westminster.
Today’s Lancashire Day celebrations took place not only across the county but also in Westminster, where Lancastrian producers were invited to show off their finest food and drink in Parliament’s prestigious Jubilee room.
Local MP Chris Green paid a visit to the event and met with Lee Thorne, manager and co-founder of Red Bank Cider, Bolton’s first award winning cider producer.
Mr Green said: “There are so many great things to celebrate about Lancashire, including our food and drink produce.
“It was great to pay a visit to the stalls of Lancashire’s finest food and drink producers today, including Bolton’s very own Red Bank Cider.
“The atmosphere was fantastic at the event and it was great to see the limelight being shone of Lancashire for this special day.”
Mr Green has long campaigned for Bolton to continue to be recognised as Lancashire and is a patron of the Friends of Real Lancashire.
