Horwich MP Chris Green held a busy ‘Meet your MP’ event at the town’s community centre last night, where he was grilled by residents on a variety of local, national and international topics.
The event – part of a series of ‘Meet your MP’ public meetings organised by Chris around the Bolton West constituency – saw topics such as planning, rail capacity, cycling, schools and fracking raised by the 40-plus residents in attendance.
Chris said:
“Thank you to everyone who came along to my ‘Meet your MP’ event last night – it was a really interesting evening with lots of very different topics raised.
“I represent over 90,000 people here in Bolton West and so it’s really important for me to understand what everyone thinks about local and national issues – these events are a great way for me to do that.”
The next event will take place on Thursday April 7 from 7pm at Westhoughton Conservative Club, Tithebarn Street, Westhoughton, BL5 3TF.
