Prime Minister Boris Johnson has today set out further changes to lock down measures in England.
Chris Green MP, Member of Parliament for Bolton West & Atherton, has welcomed the announcement by the Prime Minister on the further easing of lockdown.
From 4th July, pubs, restaurants, hotels, hairdressers as well as caravan parks can reopen once again as social distancing rules are eased. Two households will also be able to meet indoors and stay overnight with social distancing.
The reopening of further sections of the economy has been made possible by a crucial announcement to reduce social distancing from two metres to one metre.
Speaking about the announcement, Chris Green said:
I am delighted with the announcement made today by the Prime Minister which sets out the plan out of lockdown.
In particular, I also welcome the further reduction in the social distancing requirements to allow our high streets and local businesses to reopen safely.
From July, businesses will once again be able to reopen, people will be able to reunite with their loved ones and our community will start to come back together after these challenging times.
