Bolton West MP Chris Green last night hosted a busy public meeting in Horwich as part of his regular ‘Meet Your MP’ events.
The event at St John’s Methodist Church in Victoria Road, Horwich was attended by more than 50 people who grilled the MP on a variety of issues, including foreign aid, the housing proposals for the Loco Works, as well as local rail services.
The meeting was the second in six days following a similar event at Ladybridge High School a week earlier.
Chris said: “I try to get out and about to meet as many people as possible to find out Bolton West residents’ views on local, national and sometimes even international matters. It’s a way for local people to hold me to account and to ask for my help with any problems they may be having.
“These events are always well attended and over the last two years I have met well over a thousand people at these ‘Meet Your MP’ meetings alone.
“This week’s event was a particularly lively one and I hope I managed to answer everyone’s questions.”
The next series of public meetings will be announced soon.
