Bolton West and Atherton MP Chris Green is calling on local people to help him set his transport priorities for the area as he launches a ‘Big Transport Survey’.
The survey asks local people who use the transport system—whether it's taking the kids to school, commuting to work or taking a bike ride – to let their MP know their thoughts on things like rail services, the condition of roads and cycling facilities.
The MP, who already campaigns on increasing capacity on rush-hour rail services heading to Manchester, will present the responses to transport bosses.
Chris commented:
“I receive complaints and questions every day about our transport system and the traffic it can cause and, living locally, I see first-hand the problems on our roads and trains.
“It's really important that our infrastructure improves, so I wanted to get the views of the people who know most about transport in our area: the people who use local services every day.
“I've designed an in-depth survey covering different aspects of our transport system so that you can help identify any problems that exist and suggest improvements.
“Whether it’s more rail capacity, a new junction on the M61, more buses or a new relief road, I want to hear your views.”
