Today I attended services at St Bartholomew's Church in Westhoughton and at the Pretoria Memorial to remember the 344 men and boys who lost their lives as a result of the Pretoria Pit Disaster on 21st December 1910.
It is important that we continue to remember the hundreds of men and boys who were taken away from their families just a few days before Christmas, 113 years ago.
