Bolton West MP Chris Green has responded to today’s announcement that Bolton County and Family Court is to be closed following a consultation on whether it should be moved to the centre of Manchester.
Commenting, he said:
“I’m very disappointed to hear that Bolton’s County and Family Court is to be closed.
“As I said in my response to the consultation, Bolton has a large population who will now have to travel to central Manchester for justice so we would be justified in keeping our own courts open.
“We now need to keep this situation under review to ensure that the interests of justice and the people of Bolton are served."
