Whilst I am delighted to have secured funding for the new lift at Daisy Hill Railway Station, I am surprised, as are many local residents, at the impact this will have whilst the work is ongoing.
The current proposals are that from 18th March to January 2025, the smaller car park and half of the larger car park will be closed to enable the installation of the lift and some other jobs to be completed. But this will cause huge disruption for the local area with displaced vehicles.
I have written to Transport for Greater Manchester to see if they can improve the plans to minimise disruption for local residents.
